Proceedings
The Proceedings of the Workshop will be published in special editions of SAR and QSAR in Environmental Research. This journal, published by Taylor and Francis, currently leads the field in toxicological QSAR.

All poster and platform presenters at QSAR2004 are invited to submit a manuscript to the proceedings. It is intended that the special editions of SAR and QSAR in Environmental Research will be published rapidly.

To expedite publication ALL MANUSCRIPTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE CLOSE OF THE MEETING (13TH MAY 2004). Unfortunately there is no exception to this rule.

All submissions must be correctly formatted. The original and 3 copies of the manuscript, in addition to an electronic copy (floppy or CD), should be submitted to the Workshops Organisers.

Important Details and Conditions Regarding Submission of Abstracts

By submitting your manuscript to the Proceedings of QSAR2004 you agree to abide by the conditions stated below and the decision of the editors.

All manuscripts submitted will undergo a peer-review process. In addition, prior to review, all manuscripts will be pre-reviewed by the editors of proceedings. Only those manuscripts judged to meet the following criteria will be considered for publication in the proceedings :

• The manuscript must be submitted before the end of the meeting (this is an absolute deadline)
• Manuscripts must be submitted to a member of the editorial board of the proceedings (see below) and a receipt obtained
• Manuscripts must be in the proper format (see Instructions for Authors)
• Manuscripts must be written in a high standard of scientific English
• Three hard-copies and disk required
• Manuscripts must clearly move the science (as in the themes of QSAR2004) forward.

Priority will be given to:

• Hypothesis driven manuscripts
• Those transparently describing new tools
• Those modelling new datasets

If a manuscript proceeds to peer-review, the comments of the reviewers will be used to allocate the manuscript to be accepted pending minor revisions, re-reviewed if the initial review judged the manuscript potential acceptable based on major revisions, or rejected. In the case of the first two options a revised manuscript and a letter detailing how the authors addressed each point raised by the reviewers need to be returned by e-mail within 2 weeks for minor revisions and 3 weeks for major revisions of receiving reviewers comments.

The decision of the editorial board is final.
