The organisers of QSAR2004 will make every effort
to ensure that delegates have a safe and trouble free visit to the
United Kingdom and Liverpool in particular. Being a large port Liverpool
has traditionally welcomed visitors (especially those from overseas)
and statistically is one of the safest cities to visit in the United
Kingdom. Using normal common sense visitors should not experience
any difficulties whatsoever.
However, delegates are reminded that the Workshop Hotel, and Workshop
rooms in particular, are open to the public. No items should be
left unattended in the Workshop rooms (i.e. conference, exhibition,
poster or any other rooms used by the Workshop). The organisers
of QSAR2004 cannot take any responsibility for loss from the Workshop
venue, or the hotel rooms. Further they are not responsible or liable
for any other adverse event that may occur during the Workshop.
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL DELEGATES ENSURE THAT THEY HAVE ADEQUATE
INSURANCE COVER FOR THEIR VISIT TO QSAR2004. THIS INCLUDES PERSONAL
AND BUSINESS PROPERTY, HEALTH INSURANCE, PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL
LIABILITY AND ANY OTHER TYPE OF INSURANCE NECESSARY.
Valuable items and large sums of money should not be left in the
hotel rooms. The Workshop Hotel will secure such items, please ask
at reception. In the unlikely event of any loss or incident in the
Workshop Hotel, please inform reception immediately. In the event
of any loss or incident outside of the Workshop Hotel, please contact
Merseyside Police immediately, they can be contacted by telephone
i.e. 0151 709 6010.
If you have any doubt about your personal safety and security whilst
in Liverpool please consult a member of the Local Organising Committee
or a member of the Workshop Hotel Staff. Further information on
staying safe in Liverpool can be obtained from on http://www.merseyside.police.uk/.
The Organisers of QSAR2004 wish you a safe and enjoyable visit
to Liverpool.
